As soon as Laurent COCHARD and Jacques-Olivier TRAVERS presented us their project, we immediately decided to support them in this original adventure. It is our role as manufacturers of paragliders to make our contribution to the preservation of eagle species , these birds that we are trying to imitate the best with our paragliders. Teaching eagles to fly thanks to our aircraft of cloth was a surprise at first but very quickly the amazing results achieved by the project "Wings of Freedom" have reinforced our desire to become more involved in their cause. Today, the exploits of Sherkan serve the cause of eagles but also of men who pilot paragliders, and Advance is proud to see their paragliding wings accomplish flights of a new type, illustrating perfectly the harmony between man and nature from which we draw all of our corporate philosophy.

The crossing of the English Channel will undoubtedly be a magic moment and we are working with Jacques-Olivier’s pilots to make this first a complete success!

Sup-air, Pierre Bouilloux :

As soon as Laurent Cochard and Jacques-Olivier TRAVERS presented us their project to make old eagles born in captivity fly, by paragliding, we said "banco" and put our equipment at their disposal. The dream of many people who pilot paragliders is to fly with an eagle, so Sup-air’s contribution to this experience was natural for us and matches the values of the company perfectly. The incredible results presented at the Icare Cup from the first year, have convinced us that we made the right choice. Not only does the project "Wings of Liberty" make us dream but it also delivers a strong original environmental message. It is therefore with great pleasure that we decided to accompany Jacques-Olivier and his pilots in the Mont-Blanc adventure, and now in the crossing of the English Channel. We hope that Sup-air, through "Wings of Freedom" will mark the commitment of the world of paragliders to these experiences combining sport, nature and the preservation of species of eagles that we love so much.

Saint-Laurent SAS, Sylvain :

Food specialist for wild animals in captivity for more than 60 years, i have been impressed by jacques olivier and his project. Therefore, we have decided to support him in his adventures. It seems important to me to support events that tend to sensitize the great public to the cause of wild animals and to the protection of their environment. If zoos have been participating to the survival of species for a long time, jacques olivier's experience brings a new vision of the complicity that exists between men and animals, fighting for the same objectives. The wild animal wins back its natural environment thanks to the man, whilst showing him its beauty and fragility,flying together over it.

The St Laurent company, is also member of the EAZA, ( European association of Zoos and Aquariums), a very active association for species in situ and ex situ, also eager to support all that contributes to a better knowledge of these animals and their feeding habits.
