The Antinea Foundation became involved with "Wings of Freedom" in the English Channel project to raise the public’s awareness of the importance of the marine ecosystem for our planet and the species that live there. The osprey depend for a large part of them, on this environment to feed, it is important to protect it.

The Antinea Foundation aims to discover and protect the marine ecosystem, the vastest and the most varied on Earth. From 2009, their yacht "Fleur de Passion" will explore the most important eco-regions of our planet as part of a unique oceanic expedition. It will serve as a logistics platform hosting projects to:

• Contribute to a better scientific understanding of the marine environment...
• Raise the general public’s awareness of the importance of protecting the oceans...
• Involve people in projects and enable them to experience life at sea...

The project "Wings of Freedom", from its innovative aspect in communications and the human adventure that it represent, fits perfectly with the awareness activities conducted by the Foundation. Long term collaboration was born from this first project, since a series of ornithological projects centred around ospreys will be developed as part of the expedition "Changing Oceans". ".
